About us

Brandy Duren

Brandy Duren has 8 years of experience in Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling coaching at two universities, was a 4-year starting member at the University of Oregon winning 3 National Championship titles and graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology, and has a decade of All-Star Cheerleading experience.


She served as Assistant Coach at Gannon University from 2021-2022 and Head Coach from 2022-2025. In 2017 she built the inaugural Acrobatics and Tumbling Team at NAIA Arizona Christian University, as Head Coach from 2017-2021. Brandy graduated from Gannon in 2022 with a Master's in Education.


At Gannon, Brandy Duren led the Golden Knights to the NCATA National Championship Finals twice and secured 7 NCATA National Championship trophies.

SHELBY ARMSTRONG

Shelby Armstrong has 8 years of coaching experience in Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling, along with 4 years as a starting member of the University of Oregon team and 12 years in All-Star Cheerleading.


Named the first head coach of LIU's acrobatics and tumbling program in March 2023, she is in her second season after a successful inaugural 6-3 season in 2023-2024.


Armstrong came from Oregon, where she was an assistant coach from September 2022 to March 2023. She previously served as head coach at Mars Hill University and Davis and Elkins College, establishing their first Acrobatics and Tumbling teams from 2016-2022.


As a student-athlete at Oregon, Armstrong helped the Ducks win back-to-back national titles. She holds a bachelor's degree in general social science from Oregon (2016) and a master's in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia, Irvine (2019).
